Have A Very Married Christmas

I've been stuck on this blog post for a while. Two weeks ago I started writing this post about my first Christmas as a Mrs. and all the excitement and anticipation with us travelling to the other side of the country to spend time with the in-laws and my first Christmas away from home.

I have looked and re looked at the post a few times. Starting and failing to finish an entry about what our Christmas was like this year. It was busy, it was filled with friends love and laughter, it was exhausting, and like anything with a great deal of anticipation there was some disappointments. Overall though, I think we knocked this Christmas out of the park.

Yet, looking back, I realize that the husband and I will probably never have a Christmas like it again. Even though we've spent Christmases together prior to our marriage, it feels like we're moving towards a whole new adventure. One where we host and bring our family and friends together in our space, and I'm really excited about it. I love playing host, and this transition into having Christmas and just not participating is one that I am really looking forward to.

Except the Turkey. Someone is going to have to bring us a cooked turkey.
